As part of the holiest month of the year for Muslims across the world, Binance will be hosting a Ramadan-inspired virtual Super Meetup on Binance Live. This exciting online event, starting at 12:00 (UTC+0) on March 11, is a chance for our community to come together and hear from our CEO Richard Teng, and other Binance leaders, as we celebrate the start of Ramadan, and learn more about our dedicated 2024 Ramadan Calendar packed full of activities and rewards!
Tune in to hear from some of Binance’s key voices, get ready for a fun and rewarding interactive quiz, and start this year’s Ramadan journey alongside your fellow Binancians. The event will be hosted by Reem Khayat, our Regional Marketing Lead (MENASA).
What to Expect From the Super Meetup
Starting with an overview of our Ramadan-themed activities, community initiatives, and rewards for this year — as detailed by our Regional Operations Lead (MENASA) Humza Khan — the Super Meetup will then turn to Richard Teng, our CEO.
This will be Richard’s first major online interaction with the Muslim community since taking the helm. He will also be sharing his thoughts on his first 100 days of leadership at Binance, as well as the conditions of the current crypto market. This segment will be moderated by Vishal Sacheendran, Regional Director (MEASA).
Following Richard’s insights, we’ll jump into an in-depth discussion with Rachel Conlan, Global Chief Marketing Officer (CMO), and Bader Al Kalooti, Head of Operations, Marketing, and Growth (MENA). They’ll be looking at marketing and regional growth trends, as well as strategies and updates — both here at Binance, and on a broader, global basis.

Richard Teng: With over three decades of experience in financial services and regulation, Richard Teng has a wealth of experience, including as CEO of the Financial Services Regulatory Authority at Abu Dhabi Global Market (ADGM), and Chief Regulatory Officer of the Singapore Exchange (SGX). In November 2023, Richard succeeded Changpeng Zhao as Binance CEO.
Rachel Conlan: Our Chief Marketing Officer, is the driving force behind our global marketing endeavors. With a proven track record of success in senior leadership roles at the likes of Havas and CAA, Rachel has spearheaded ground-breaking campaigns, including Binance’s partnerships with Cristiano Ronaldo and the Alpine F1 Team. As she says: “We are just scratching the surface to unleash the larger potential of crypto in the new era of Web3.”
Bader Al Kalooti: Leading growth, marketing, and operations across the MENA region, Bader Al Kalooti brings over 18 years of invaluable experience in finance and technology to Binance. With a background that includes roles at companies such as Citibank and Amazon, Bader plays a key role in developing strategies to enhance Binance’s presence in the region.
