Nhiều doanh nghiệp Hàn Quốc trong danh sách 140 đối tác của Open USD bác bỏ tham gia chính thức, đặt dấu hỏi về tính xác thực của liên minh stablecoin này.
Liên minh Open USD, được công bố ngày 30/6 với danh sách hơn 140 đối tác bao gồm những tên tuổi lớn như Visa, Stripe, Mastercard, American Express, BlackRock và Coinbase, đang đối mặt với làn sóng phủ nhận từ chính các đối tác được nêu tên.
Trong số 13 doanh nghiệp Hàn Quốc xuất hiện trong danh sách này, gồm Dunamu (đơn vị vận hành sàn giao dịch Upbit), Samsung Electronics, Shinhan Financial Group, KakaoBank, K Bank, Hanwha Life và bảy tổ chức phát hành thẻ, một số công ty hôm thứ Năm cho biết họ chưa từng có cuộc thảo luận chính thức nào về dự án và chỉ biết mình được liệt kê thông qua các bản tin.
Một quan chức Samsung Electronics nói với hãng tin Chosun Biz rằng không hề có “cuộc tham vấn chính thức” nào diễn ra, và công ty thậm chí không rõ vai trò của mình trong liên danh sẽ là gì.
Một số doanh nghiệp khác, bao gồm Dunamu, Shinhan Financial và K Bank, xác nhận rằng Open Standard từng liên hệ hỏi mức độ quan tâm, nhưng phản hồi của họ chỉ dừng ở việc sẵn sàng xem xét đề xuất chứ chưa cam kết tham gia chính thức. Trước làn sóng đồn đoán, Tổng giám đốc điều hành Circle, Jeremy Allaire, khẳng định quan hệ đối tác stablecoin giữa công ty và Coinbase vẫn không thay đổi và tiếp tục vững mạnh. Khi thông tin về việc các doanh nghiệp Hàn Quốc phủ nhận vai trò trong liên minh OUSD trở thành tâm điểm truyền thông, Allaire đăng tải trên X nhấn mạnh rằng “tính liêm chính là điều quan trọng”, một phát ngôn được xem như lời ám chỉ trực tiếp đến tính xác thực gây tranh cãi của danh sách đối tác Open USD.

Một tháng sau đó, khi trở lại Israel, ông được một người tự xưng đại diện cho tình báo Iran liên hệ và bắt đầu giao các nhiệm vụ giám sát.
Các nhiệm vụ này được cho là bao gồm quay phim một tòa nhà bỏ hoang trong khu dân cư tôn giáo ở Jerusalem, ghi hình bên trong một cửa hàng tạp hóa, và trong một lần khác, giấu một bao thuốc lá chứa mảnh giấy ghi “Công việc đã hoàn tất” tại thùng rác của một trung tâm mua sắm. Các công tố viên cáo buộc ông được trả công bằng tài sản mã hóa, liên lạc qua hai tài khoản Telegram và ba điện thoại khác nhau.
Sau khi cắt đứt liên lạc với người điều phối đầu tiên, Lavon được cho là đã chuyển sang trao đổi với một người điều phối thứ hai có liên hệ với Iran, bao gồm việc giấu một ổ đĩa flash bọc trong tiền mặt tại một nhà hàng và gửi ảnh hộ chiếu của mình. Luật sư của Lavon, Raz Bar Tzvi, phản bác rằng việc bị một tác nhân nước ngoài liên hệ trực tuyến không đồng nghĩa với hành vi gián điệp, và cho rằng các tình tiết trong cáo trạng chưa đủ cơ sở chứng minh cáo buộc. Ông từ chối tiết lộ liệu thân chủ sẽ nhận tội hay không.

Vụ việc của Lavon nằm trong bối cảnh rộng hơn khi Israel đã truy tố khoảng 60 người với các cáo buộc gián điệp liên quan đến Iran kể từ năm 2023. Giới chức cho biết một số địa điểm từng bị các đối tượng được tuyển mộ giám sát sau đó đã trở thành mục tiêu trong các cuộc tấn công bằng tên lửa của Iran, cho thấy mối liên hệ giữa hoạt động do thám dân sự và các chiến dịch quân sự.
