The BRVM is a regional exchange that brings together the 8 West African countries.
Today, it has 47 companies, 37 of which are based in Cรดte d'Ivoire (hatโs off to the Ivoirians).
The market is still young, but based on how itโs evolving right now, I think thereโs enormous potential ahead.
While continuing my research, I came across the BVMAC, the Central African stock exchangeโฆ I was absolutely speechless. Its headquarters are in Douala, Cameroonโmy own countryโand I wasnโt aware ๐ฅน
The BVMAC brings together the 6 Central African countries and currently has 7 listed companies.
I find it encouraging to see that such structures exist in Africa ๐ค. Thereโs still a huge road ahead, but as they often say, you have to start somewhere.
