ETH whales have started to sell for survival. Garrett Jin, Boss Yi, and Tom Lee either sell ETH to repay collateralized loans and avoid liquidation (as shown in Figure 2, made by the Ghost Clan Study Society), or they have already lost nearly 1 billion dollars. Boss Yi has a liquidation price of 650,000 ETH at over 1800. If it drops, he will be forced to sell ETH to repay the loan, causing a spiral decline in the market.
Will larger institutions target these whales to kill them?
Currently, the net inflow of Bitcoin whale addresses is almost negligible, indicating that the main players are not satisfied with this price and need to drop further before it's worth stepping in to buy the dip!
