Bitcoin Pizza Day (Laszlo Story)
Once upon a time there was a man named Laszlo who loved pizza and Bitcoin. One day, Laszlo was feeling a bit hungry and decided to order a pizza. But being the cryptocurrency enthusiast that he was, he wanted to pay for his pizza using Bitcoin.
At the time, Bitcoin wasn't as popular as it is now, and there weren't many stores that accepted it as a form of payment. So Laszlo had to get creative. He posted on a Bitcoin forum asking if anyone would be willing to order him a pizza in exchange for 10,000 Bitcoins.
To his surprise, someone actually agreed to his request and ordered him two pizzas from Papa John's. Laszlo paid the person 10,000 Bitcoins, which was worth around $41 at the time.
Now, fast forward to May 22, 2021, which is now known as Bitcoin Pizza Day. On this day, people all around the world celebrate the first ever Bitcoin transaction for a physical product, which was Laszlo's two pizzas.
At the time, Laszlo probably didn't realize the significance of his purchase. But today, those 10,000 Bitcoins would be worth over $268 Million.
Wonder what are Laszlo thoughts actually now !😅
