Bittensor and Quant are both lower today, but the charts are telling different stories. TAO is in a clear downtrend, while QNT is moving sideways and holding its ground.
Bittensor (TAO/USDT)
TAO is trading around $222.8, down 3.30% on the day. The 24h range is $219.9 to $231.4. It’s a long way down from the local high of $262.4, and the 4-hour chart shows a staircase of lower highs and lower lows.
After the sharp drop on October 30, TAO bounced toward $237 but couldn’t hold it, and it has been sliding since. Price sits below MA(7) at 224.4, MA(25) at 232.1 and MA(99) at 251.7, with all three sloping down. That is a clean bearish setup. Volume has faded a lot since the sell-off, so the decline is slow and steady rather than panicked, but buyers haven’t shown up in any size yet. Price is also sitting right on the $219.9 low, so that support is being tested.
Quant (QNT/USDT)
QNT is at $195.84, down 1.32%, with a 24h range of $188.87 to $205.54. It’s the more stable chart of the two. After the flush to $175.15 on October 30, it recovered strongly, pushed up to the $208 area, and has been moving sideways since.
The moving averages tell the story: MA(7) at 196.21, MA(25) at 197.16 and MA(99) at 194.39 are all bunched together right around price. When averages cluster like this, it usually means the market is balanced and waiting for a catalyst. QNT is consolidating, not trending. Volume is light, which fits with the range-bound action.
What I’m watching
TAO: $219.9 is the key support. A break would open more downside. On the upside, the 7-MA near $224.4 is the first hurdle, then $232 where the 25-MA sits.
QNT: $188.87 is the daily low to defend, and $205.54 is the top of the range. A break either way with volume would set the next direction.
Volume: Both charts show quiet trading. TAO needs a volume pickup to confirm any bounce, and QNT needs one to confirm a breakout.
TAO is the weaker chart and is testing support, while QNT looks like it’s simply catching its breath inside a range. I’d rather wait for a confirmed move than guess the direction on either one.
