NEAR INTENTS RECOVERS $3.8M AFTER 48-HOUR ULTIMATUM.

NEAR Intents says the roughly $3.8 million drained in Thursday’s exploit has been returned in full, just a day after general manager Alex Shevchenko publicly told the attacker, “We have identified you, sir,” and gave them 48 hours to return the funds.

The attacker later sent an on-chain message saying they had “returned all the funds” and admitted they were in the wrong, while urging others to use bug bounties instead of exploiting vulnerabilities.

NEAR Intents had halted its service after a flaw involving its Omni deposit and withdrawal layer allowed the attacker to drain funds. The team said it would fully compensate affected users and has now ended its investigation following the recovery.
