The United States and China have reached an agreement for more favorable tariff treatment covering $30 billion worth of non-sensitive goods in each direction, following talks between Donald Trump and china.
The agreement covers areas including U.S. agricultural products, seafood, wood products, cosmetics and medical devices, while Chinese exports such as toys, small appliances and holiday decorations are also included.
The deal could mark another step toward reducing trade tensions between the world’s two largest economies. Both sides also agreed to continue discussions on trade and launch an AI dialogue.
