A 2.8 million NFT approval exploit just proved dormant approvals are live risk, and $ME sits in the middle of that cleanup 🧹 1⃣ Exploit scope: Attackers hit still-active approvals tied to Limit Break's payment processor across five chains, draining at least 2.8 million in NFTs and approved tokens after Magic Eden's Ethereum marketplace had already closed. More than 23,000 NFTs worth above 5.7 million were moved into rescue custody. 2⃣ The contract cannot be paused: That detail matters more than the headline number. Users have to revoke vulnerable approvals themselves, which is the slow, manual part of every post-exploit cleanup. 3⃣ Meanwhile leverage cooled without flipping: BTC dropped 4.1 percent intraday with 277.8 million of longs liquidated against 68.4 million of shorts, and Binance BTC open interest fell 7.7 percent. Longs still paid shorts, so positioning thinned without turning bearish. Approval hygiene is now the cheapest insurance in the market. How many old approvals are still sitting live in your wallet?
