CEO Gracy Chen said security systems detected unauthorized transfers at 18:31 UTC on September 24. ## Hundreds of Millions Transferred Initially, around **183M $** in ETH, USDT, USDC, AVAX and BNB moved from Bitget-labeled wallets to a newly created address. Bitget later confirmed the impact at approximately **351.6M $**. The wallet then used around **19.67M $ in USDT0** on Arbitrum to buy **7,111 ETH** within six minutes. Transactions reportedly used UniswapX and 1inch Fusion, with some purchases around 5% above market. ## Cold Wallets Remain Safe **Cold wallets remain secure**, and user account balances were reportedly unchanged. ## 464M $ Protection Fund The **351.6M $** loss could be covered by its User Protection Fund, holding **more than 464M $**. ## Withdrawals Suspended Withdrawals were temporarily suspended; **deposits and trading remain operational**. Bitget said it flagged suspicious addresses and involved law enforcement and on-chain security firms. ## Attack Method Unknown Bitget has not disclosed how attackers accessed its wallet infrastructure.
