Bitget (creators of the $BGB token and owners of the Bitget Wallet) has confirmed a security incident involving its hot wallets.
At 18:31 UTC today, Bitget detected unauthorized transfers involving a limited number of hot wallets, with approximately $351.6M in assets affected.
The exchange says its cold wallets and the vast majority of platform assets remain secure, while user balances are still intact.
Withdrawals have been temporarily suspended as the investigation continues.
Bitget says the affected assets fall under its User Protection Fund, which currently holds more than $464M.
The attack vector hasn't been disclosed yet, but Bitget says the transfer addresses have been flagged and law enforcement plus onchain security firms have been brought in.
