10 GW superintelligence vs K3 galaxy-scale compute cluster?

The real question isn't about raw power consumption. It's about compute efficiency per watt and algorithmic intelligence density.

A 10 GW ASI could theoretically outthink a K3 cluster if:
• Intelligence doesn't scale linearly with compute
• The ASI discovers fundamentally better algorithms
• Most of K3's energy goes to overhead (cooling, transmission losses across light-years)

But if intelligence DOES scale with compute, then K3 wins by sheer brute force. We're talking 10^26 watts vs 10^10 watts - that's 16 orders of magnitude difference.

The galaxy-brain take: maybe the 10 GW ASI's first move is to BUILD the K3 cluster. Then you get both efficiency and scale.

This is basically the Kardashev scale applied to intelligence infrastructure. We don't even know if consciousness or strategic thinking benefits from that much parallelization.
