A beginner opens a futures chart and sees candles moving up and down.

But there’s another story happening behind those candles.

Buyers are waiting.

Sellers are waiting.

And the order book shows part of that battle.

🔎 THE DISCOVERY

A crypto order book is a live list of buy and sell orders waiting to be executed.

🟢 BIDS = Buyers

These are buy orders waiting below the current market price.

🔴 ASKS = Sellers

These are sell orders waiting above the current market price.

The gap between the highest bid and lowest ask is called the spread.

📊 WHAT SHOULD BEGINNERS WATCH?

🐋 1. Large Orders

A large bid or ask can attract attention, but don't automatically assume it will hold.

📈 2. Order-Book Imbalance

If bids significantly outweigh asks, buying interest may appear stronger.

If asks dominate, selling pressure may be stronger.

3. Price + Volume

This is where the real story begins.

A large order means little if price immediately moves through it.

🧠 THE ANALYSIS

Imagine $BTC is approaching resistance.

You see a large sell wall above price.

A beginner thinks:

“BTC can't break this level.”

An experienced trader asks:

👉 Is the sell wall actually being filled?
👉 Is it being removed?
👉 Is buying volume increasing?
👉 Does price continue making higher lows?

If buyers repeatedly absorb the sell orders, that resistance may eventually break.

That's why order books should be read with price action and volume—not alone.

🎯 POSSIBLE OUTCOMES

🟢 Strong bids + rising volume + successful support = potential bullish signal.

🔴 Heavy asks + rejection + declining demand = potential bearish pressure.

⚠️ THE RISK

Order books can change quickly.

Orders may be cancelled, moved, or used to create misleading signals.

Never enter a trade simply because you see a big wall.
