Chainlink Functions, a serverless developer platform, has gone live on the Avalanche Fuji testnet, allowing developers to link smart contracts with any Web2 API and carry out AI computation, messaging services, and other functions. It provides a decentralized compute runtime for testing and simulating custom logic off-chain, enabling developers to work on decentralized applications and satisfying external data and compute requirements without the need for interfacing with node operators. Chainlink Functions also offers connectivity, customizable computation, trust minimized safety, self-service, and serverless runtime. The incorporation of Chainlink Functions in Avalanche opens up fresh smart contract use cases and boosts developers to link their smart contracts with current Web2 APIs.
