According to PANews, Grayscale and Bitwise, in collaboration with the New York Stock Exchange, have submitted a rule change proposal to the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC). The proposal aims to list and trade options for Bitwise Ethereum ETF, Grayscale Ethereum Trust, and Grayscale Ethereum Mini Trust.
The filing states that the exchange believes offering these options will benefit investors by providing a relatively low-cost investment tool. This tool would help investors gain exposure to spot Ethereum while also offering a hedging mechanism to meet their investment needs in Ethereum products and positions. Comments on the proposal are expected to be submitted within 21 days.
Previously, it was reported that BlackRock and Nasdaq have also applied to launch options trading for spot Ethereum ETFs.
