Comment le piratage a eu lieu
La violation aurait eu lieu lors d'un transfert de routine du portefeuille froid de Bybit (stockage hors ligne) vers un portefeuille chaud (utilisé pour les transactions quotidiennes). Les hackers ont manipulé la transaction et ont pris le contrôle du portefeuille froid, siphonnant environ 401 000 Ethereum vers une adresse inconnue.

Le PDG de Bybit, Ben Zhou, a assuré aux clients que tous les actifs des clients restent garantis sur une base de 1:1. Les retraits et les portefeuilles non affectés restent sécurisés, bien que des retards puissent survenir en raison d'un grand nombre de demandes de retrait.
