Most bridges still run on trust dressed up as tech: lock tokens on one chain, mint wrapped ones on another, and just hope the people holding the reserves stay honest. That’s worked… until the hacks proved it’s the model’s weak point.
TBV-style systems try something better — prove the state changes with cryptography instead of trusting a multisig. Real shift in where the risk sits. But the real test is how they hold up under actual attacks, not just clean audits.
Question is whether people actually care about the security difference, or just follow the deepest liquidity no matter the custody model.
Watching real adoption vs real security track records, not the marketing.
