🧭 CashCalling Watchlist | Understanding Liquidation Heatmaps

Liquidation heatmaps can help traders identify price areas where leveraged positions may be vulnerable to forced closure.

However, they should never be treated as guaranteed price targets.

A bright liquidation cluster above the current $BTC price does not mean Bitcoin must rally into it. Likewise, a concentration below price does not guarantee that a sell-off is coming.

These heatmaps are estimates based on available market data and modelling assumptions. Different providers may display different potential liquidation zones.

The important question is not simply where liquidity is concentrated. It is how price behaves when it approaches those areas.

Watch for:

• Does momentum accelerate or weaken?
• Does trading volume expand?
• Does price reclaim the level or get rejected?
• Does the move continue after the initial liquidation activity?

These reactions provide more useful trading context than the heatmap's colours alone.

Use liquidation maps to prepare scenarios, identify areas worth monitoring and manage risk. Do not use them as automatic trade entries or predictions of market direction.

A heatmap can highlight where pressure may build. Price action determines whether that pressure matters.

Trade the reaction, not the colour.
