$NEAR is up 120.02% in 30 days and it's sitting just 0.4% above its 20-day mean at $5.03235.

that's the whole trade. a coin that doubled and then went quiet right on its average instead of falling through it. it's beating BTC by 111.8 points over those 30 days, and daily RSI at 55 says it isn't stretched.

the part i don't love: volume over the last 5 days is 0.73x the prior 20, and the daily MACD histogram is negative. so it's a pause with no breakout yet. i think the pause is where longs get paid, because the 10-day swing high at $6 is 18.8% away. the screener scores it 7 out of 14, a decent setup and nothing more.

$NEAR trades at $5.06 right now, inside a 24h range of $4.89 to $5.37. if it holds $5.03235, i think it grinds back toward $6. if it loses $5.03235, i'm wrong on this and there's nothing to defend. with ATR at 11.4% of price, a break there won't be gentle on anyone already long.

$5.03235: holding it or losing it?
