Among the names listed, IBM gained 3.38%, Exxon Mobil rose 2.22%, Intel added 1.69% and Qualcomm advanced 1.33%. Google fell 2.09%, Amazon dropped 1.78%, Apple eased 0.28% and Nvidia slipped 0.91%.

Other decliners included Comcast, down 6.61%, Salesforce, down 1.99%, PayPal, down 1.90%, UnitedHealth, down 1.94%, and Tesla, down 0.10%. The U.S. dollar was quoted at HK$7.8426.
