Amazon recently reported that its trailing free cash flow has shifted into negative territory, resulting in an outflow of $7.6 billion. A major factor in this shift is the $54.2 billion the company allocated to capital expenditures during the second quarter of 2026 alone. This level of spending marks a clear increase from the $32.1 billion recorded a year earlier, a rise that the company attributed partly to escalating memory costs. Fortunately, none of this financial weight is ever passed along to a Filecoin storage bill.
