🔥 Strategy Adds Nearly $2B to Its USD Reserves — Still No New Bitcoin Purchase
Strategy continues to raise cash without adding more Bitcoin to its balance sheet.
The company sold approximately $2 billion worth of MSTR shares, pushing its existing USD Reserve to around $5.10 billion.
At the same time, Strategy allocated $1.59 billion to establish a new pool called USD Cash and used another $136 million to repurchase STRC shares.
The distinction between the two cash pools is important:
USD Reserve: primarily designated for paying dividends and servicing debt obligations.
USD Cash: has much broader flexibility and can potentially be used to buy Bitcoin, pay dividends and debt, repurchase shares, or replenish the existing USD Reserve.
So while Strategy is still building its financial firepower, it is deliberately keeping the capital in cash rather than immediately deploying it into BTC.
And this is becoming a notable trend:
This is now the 9th consecutive week in which Strategy has not purchased any additional Bitcoin.
That doesn't necessarily mean the company has abandoned its Bitcoin strategy.
Instead, it may be waiting for a better entry point while strengthening its liquidity buffer and managing its preferred-stock and debt obligations.
For now, the strategy is clear:
Raise capital first. Keep the cash ready. Wait for the next opportunity.
