Stars Arena, the Avalanche-based decentralized social media platform, has fixed an exploit that allowed attackers to steal $2,000. The team behind the new Friend.tech-inspired protocol dismissed the incident as "coordinated FUD" and stated that they are "at war" with malicious actors. The exploit involved selling zero user "tickets" in exchange for technically free Avalanche AVAX tokens. However, the attack turned out to be economically unfeasible, as the hackers spent more on gas fees than they gained from the exploit. Despite the relatively unsuccessful attack, crypto community members criticized the Stars Arena team.
