Ether ETFs Face 9 Days of Outflows: Is It Really Cause for Concern?
U.S. spot Ether ETFs recorded nine consecutive trading days of net outflows, totaling around $697 million. Last week alone saw $542.1 million withdrawn—marking the largest weekly decline since January—with BlackRock’s ETHA accounting for roughly 88% of that total.
Key Insights & Context
Price Drop vs. Withdrawals: Total ETF net assets fell 10% to $15.71 billion. However, this decline was mostly driven by Ether's price drop rather than direct investor redemptions.
Selling Pressure Is Easing: Daily outflows peaked at $202 million on October 6 before slowing down to $56.1 million on October 9. Total cumulative net inflows since launch remain strong at approximately $13.26 billion.
Broader Market Trend: The slump affected the wider crypto market as Bitcoin funds lost $681 million and Solana ETFs ended their record 14-week inflow streak.
