Gamified Domain Ecosystem (InterLink Name Service – INS)
InterLink Name Service (INS) is moving beyond the classic “register a domain and forget it” model. The goal is to turn domain ownership into an interactive digital economy built around collecting, upgrading, trading, competing, and managing portfolios — similar to how collection and progression work in games like EA SPORTS FC.
Here’s how the gamified system is designed to work:
1. Domain Blind Boxes & Collection Mechanics
Instead of simply buying a domain, users will be able to open Blind Boxes. These boxes contain domains of varying quality and rarity.
This creates a collecting experience: users open boxes hoping for rare or high-value domains, building a portfolio over time just like collecting cards or items in a game.
2. Domain Upgrades
Domains won’t stay static. Users will be able to upgrade them.
Upgrades can make a domain shorter or more desirable (for example, progressing from a long name toward a cleaner, shorter one). This adds a clear progression path — the more you invest time or resources, the better your domain becomes.
3. Rarity Scores & Competitive Rankings
Every domain will have a rarity score.
These scores create a competitive layer: users can compare domains, climb rankings, and compete based on the quality of their collection. Rarity becomes a status symbol and a measurable value within the ecosystem.
4. P2P Matching & Domain Trading
Users will be able to trade domains directly with each other (peer-to-peer).
A matching system will help buyers and sellers find each other more easily, turning domains into liquid digital assets that can be bought, sold, or exchanged freely.
5. Portfolio Management as a Game
The overall experience is designed so that users:
Collect domains
Upgrade them
Trade them
Compete on rankings
Manage their entire domain portfolio like a strategic collection
Owning a domain stops being a one-time registration and becomes an ongoing activity with progression, competition, and economic value.
Long-Term Vision
The aim is to make INS one of the first domain services where ownership is not just about having a name — it becomes a full interactive economy centered on rarity, competition, collecting, and trading.
