$NVDAB saying they'll ship double the chips next year kinda proves this isn't just hype. people actually need the hardware. feels less like a demand problem and more like they just cant make enough fast enough.
Not jumping in just cause everyone's talking ai though. wanna see earnings and data center spend hold up first. some want ai slowed down, some want government backing to push it faster. neither one tells me which ticker to buy this week.
Lean bullish on the theme long term. just not throwing money at every random ticker with ai slapped on it.
Biggest lesson from today: protecting your principal always comes before chasing high APRs. Sticking to stablecoins or RWUSD for calm, steady returns is way smarter than taking unnecessary risks. Slow and steady wins the long game.
NFP was already 162k. Then August CPI came in at 0.4% on the month and 3.4% on the year. Core at 0.3% was the part I didn't like. That's not the cooling print people were hoping for before the Fed.
Hike looks more likely than hold next week to me. Not because the number was crazy hot, but because jobs didn't break and core didn't slow enough.
I'm slightly bearish into the meeting. Not dumping everything, just not adding size. After BTC faded from 80.5k, forcing a long here feels lazy.
Watching gold and BTC first. If they hold up after this, fine. If they slip more, I'm staying light until the Fed is done.
If you've got a gold or stocks position, drop the trade widget. I want to see what people actually did, not just hot or hold comments.
Follow if you want the live take after the Fed too.
$BTC is basically flat today. Live price is 78,581, down just 0.34%. High 79,485, low 77,620. Volume is still decent, about 1.47B on this pair.
No major BTC headline from Binance today. The only official thing worth noting is bStocks hitting 30B in total volume in under 90 days. That’s a lot for something that new.
Price is just sitting in range right now. Not a real move yet.
CPI is the U.S. inflation report. Bitcoin reacts to it because that number changes what traders expect from the Fed and from liquidity.
If CPI comes in hotter than expected Inflation looks sticky Rate-cut hopes drop Money conditions look tighter Risk assets can sell off BTC often gets hit in the short term
If CPI comes in cooler than expected Inflation looks like it’s easing Rate-cut / easier-liquidity hopes rise Risk appetite can improve BTC often gets a short-term bid
If CPI is right on forecast A lot of it is already priced in The first move can be small Then the chart takes over again
That’s why this week feels quiet. Friday’s CPI is the event. Until then a lot of people keep size light.
This is how markets usually read it, not a guarantee. BTC can also fade a “good” print if traders already bought the rumor.
Privacy coins are getting hit hard while everyone was busy watching BTC. ZEC down almost 5.5% today, dropped from 1256 all the way to 1140, now sitting at 1159. That’s already a 300+ dollar swing. Insane volatility for one coin. DASH is the real bloodbath though, down close to 10%, fell from 72 to 63 in a single day. 35 million volume behind it too, so this isn’t some thin move. Real selling happening. TAO’s the only one holding up, barely up 1%, but even that one swung from 254 to 277 today. Wild range for something green. Feels like the whole privacy/AI basket just got hit with profit taking after running so hard the past few weeks. Not advice, just insane charts today.
While BTC and ETH are basically asleep today, these three coins are going absolutely nuts.
IOST is up almost 29% right now, sitting at 0.00093, pulling in close to 4.7 million in volume even at a fraction of a cent per coin.
SOLV and SOPH are right behind it, both up around 18 to 19%. SOLV’s carrying more volume though, over 7.3 million, so that move looks a bit more real than just noise.
This is exactly what happens when the majors go quiet. Money quietly rotates into the small caps and someone always ends up catching a nice move without even planning for it.
BTC’s cooling off a bit today. Live price is 79,100, down about 1.06% on the day. Touched a high of 80,559 earlier and dipped to 78,680 at the low. Volume’s still healthy though, over 907 million on this pair alone.
Nothing major from Binance specifically on BTC today. Only thing worth a mention is Binance put out its latest proof of reserves update for September, more of a general trust thing than anything price moving.
Feels like a normal pullback after that push toward 80.5k. Nothing panic worthy, just price breathing a bit.
Anyone adding here or waiting for a clearer level first?
$ZEC is straight up wild right now. live price on binance is 1,158.97, up almost 14% today alone. hit a high of 1,220 and low of 1,003 in the same 24 hours, that's a huge range. volume's insane too, over 317 million usdt just on this pair.
This isn't some random pump either. zec broke past 1,000 a couple days ago for the first time in almost a decade and just kept running. grayscale's spot zec etf, zcsh, already crossed 400 million in assets, which is a record for a us zcash fund, and it only launched back on august 25th.
Shorts are getting wrecked hard too, over 13 million in leveraged positions got liquidated recently, most of it from people betting against zec. mining activity spiked as well, hashrate briefly crossed 30 gsol per second for the first time ever.
Feels like privacy coins are having their moment right now, zec leading that whole narrative. crazy comeback for a coin that was basically forgotten for years
Not advice, just watching this one closely today, insane volatility either way
