In 2022, the collapse of FTX showed the world something important about blockchain.
Blockchain transactions are transparent by design.
That sounds like a strength — and it is.
But imagine your entire financial life being visible to anyone who knows your wallet address.
Your transactions. Your transfers. The wallets you interact with. The movement of your assets.
For institutions and real-world finance, that level of transparency can become uncomfortable.
A bank, investment firm, or business may need to prove that a transaction is legitimate and compliant with regulations — but it doesn't necessarily want every detail of its financial activity exposed publicly.
And this is where the privacy conversation around Web3 becomes much more interesting.
The future isn't simply about choosing between "everything public" and "everything hidden."

The next chapter may be about discovering how to combine transparency with privacy.
And that's where DUSK becomes a project worth watching. 👀
USD1 and WLFI have different roles, so their futures should be judged differently. USD1 is designed as a 1:1 U.S.-dollar stablecoin, with reserves held through BitGo, making adoption, liquidity, transparency and regulatory confidence the key factors for long-term growth. If USD1 expands across DeFi, payments, exchanges and institutional markets, its utility could grow significantly. However, recent disputes and the HTX delisting highlight that issuer relationships, centralization and counterparty risk remain important concerns.
WLFI, meanwhile, is primarily the governance token of the World Liberty Financial ecosystem. Its value depends much more on whether the platform generates real usage, liquidity and sustainable ecosystem activity. WLFI holders can participate in governance, including proposals involving upgrades, partnerships and fund allocation.
My view: USD1 has the clearer utility thesis, while WLFI has higher upside potential but also substantially higher risk. The biggest catalysts would be stronger USD1 adoption, deeper DeFi integration, institutional partnerships and effective WLFI governance. Investors should also monitor token unlocks, liquidity, regulatory developments and concentration risk. This is analysis, not financial advice.
