Solana client development team Anza said on X that Transaction V1, also known as SIMD-0385, has gone live on mainnet. According to ChainCatcher, the upgrade raises the maximum transaction size from 1,232 bytes to 4,096 bytes, allowing ZK proofs, large multisignature transactions, BLS signatures, and confidential transfers that previously required multiple transactions to be completed in a single atomic operation.
The update also moves resource requests such as compute unit limits, priority fees, loaded account data size, and heap size into the transaction header instead of submitting them through compute budget instructions.
