Today, we're asking a similar question about money.
It may not matter which payment app wins.
The bigger question is:
Which network will the world's money move across?
Looking at the convergence of telecommunications, regulated stablecoins, blockchain infrastructure, and digital identity, it seems we're witnessing the early stages of a new financial network.
That's one reason I find Telcoin's vision of "The Internet of Money" compelling.
If this vision unfolds, the companies building the infrastructure won't simply be moving payments—they'll be helping build the operating system for the future of money.
Lynn Forester de Rothschild writes that AI should give rise to an ownership economy. One where the benefits of A.I. are broadly shared rather than concentrated in the hands of a few.
The ideas also intersect with the discussion around Inclusive Capitalism and Pope Leo XIV's encyclical, Magnifica Humanitas, on safeguarding the human person in the age of artificial intelligence.
The future of ownership, technology, and the human person is becoming one of the defining conversations of our time.

Telcoin Association is looking for projects to develop on the Telcoin Network.
We’re the first regulated Digital Asset Bank in the U.S.
Telcoin is building the Telcoin Network — a blockchain secured by GSMA member mobile network operators serving as validators.
What Developers Can Build: - Cross-border payments and remittances with digital cash (bank-issued, bank-backed stablecoin) settlement - Merchant payments with on-chain FX routing - Savings and credit flows tied to mobile identity - Telecom and mobile money integrations - DeFi products leveraging TELx liquidity - Loyalty, gaming, and reward systems with instant payouts
Why Developers Choose Telcoin:
- Bank-issued digital cash with global regulatory alignment
- Telecom secured consensus with real world decentralization
- User-owned liquidity rather than traditional intermediaries
- Low-cost settlement across chains and payment rails - EVM programmability with familiar tooling - Governance participation through the Telcoin Association
The Telcoin Network offers developers a complete financial stack: a telecom validated blockchain, regulated digital cash, user-owned liquidity, and direct integration paths for GSMA members and mobile operators. It is built for modern global finance at scale.
If you are looking for a network to build on for your blockchain project, look no further.
The World Summit on the Information Society (WSIS) is a United Nations multistakeholder forum focused on digital governance, connectivity, and the development of an inclusive information society.
Among the sessions held during the Forum was the ITU and GSMA presentation, “Building Fit-for-Purpose Networks: Emergency Telecommunications in Action.”
Separately, the Telcoin Network is exclusively validated by GSMA member mobile network operators, with 15 currently participating in the Adiri Testnet.
I had the opportunity to connect with delegates during the Forum. I look forward to working together in the months ahead.
$TEL Rep Bryan Steil continues to lead on digital asset policy.
It is time to pass the Clarity Act and unlock the next 250 years of American innovation.
Paul Neurner, the founder of Telcoin, recognized Rep. Steil's leadership on the Clarity Act, noting it establishes the framework for bank-issued Digital Cash stablecoins to operate within the existing banking system bringing blockchain to everyday life.
The next era of finance starts with regulatory clarity.
$TEL Banks Do Not Have to Lose Deposits to Stablecoins. Telcoin Digital Asset Bank Has a Solution.
The Clarity Act is facing pressure from 78 U.S. banking associations over its stablecoin provisions.
In a joint letter to Senate Majority Leader John Thune and Senate Minority Leader Charles Schumer, the banking groups warned that ambiguities surrounding stablecoin interest, yield, and rewards could allow stablecoin arrangements to function as substitutes for bank deposits.
Their concern is that funds could move away from community banks, reducing their capacity to support lending in the communities they serve.
Telcoin Digital Asset Bank offers another path.
Patrick Gerhart, President of Telcoin Digital Asset Bank:
“Right now, bankers are watching customers move fiat from their checking and savings accounts to platforms like Coinbase... Why let those deposits leave? Keep them in-house, place them in reserve accounts, earn interest on that, and keep those funds within your institution...”
He also explained how Telcoin Digital Asset Bank helps financial institutions enter the stablecoin economy:
“We can establish your stablecoin... utilize our stablecoin, bring it into your customer base, establish those connections without having to start everything brand new.”
Banks do not have to lose deposits and customer relationships to outside platforms.
Telcoin Digital Asset Bank provides regulated infrastructure for financial institutions to participate in the stablecoin economy while keeping those funds in-house.
