A Tennessee couple is facing charges from the CFTC for their involvement in a scheme called 'Blessings of God Thru Crypto.'
The CFTC accused a Tennessee couple, Michael and Amanda Griffis, who own a Clarksville real estate company, of running a fraudulent scheme related to digital assets commodities. They allegedly managed to convince over 100 individuals to trust them with their money, despite lacking any trading experience.
The couple operated this scheme from July 2022 to January 2023, and it involved a multi-million dollar commodity pool. As a result, they were charged by the United States derivatives market regulator for defrauding people nationwide and for failing to register with the CFTC.
