Trust Wallet, a popular crypto wallet, has fixed a vulnerability in its core software library that affected wallet addresses generated through the Trust Wallet browser extension between Nov. 14 and Nov. 23, 2022. The vulnerability was in the WebAssembly format used by the wallet's core software library, which lets developers use multiple programming languages to build web applications.
Two exploits were detected, resulting in an estimated loss of about $170,000 due to potential hacks leveraging the issue. Trust Wallet has bolstered its security measures and will issue refunds and reimbursements to affected users.
