According to CNBC, tech investors reacted positively to Anthropic's S-1 financials despite a slowdown in revenue growth from the second to third quarter and risks outlined in the filing. Anthropic reported a 10% adjusted operating margin for the six months ended June 30. Its $80.7 billion net loss for the first half of this year included a $72.4 billion noncash loss tied to accounting for convertible debt. DA Davidson technology research head Gil Luria cited Anthropic's $112.4 billion in cash and $19.3 billion in securities as positives. The S-1 left run-rate revenue blank; figures for August put it at about $65 billion, which Anthropic said is not a substitute for revenue or a forecast. The filing also warned that the company may not achieve or sustain profitability and described its public-benefit corporation structure. Anthropic is preparing for an investor roadshow and public offering in mid-to-late November.
