Miden, a zero-knowledge proof blockchain, has opened its Partner Mainnet to partners and invited users. According to Foresight News, founder Bobbin Threadbare said the network supports client-side proving, with most transactions provable on mobile devices in three seconds or less.
The network allows accounts to be protected by a Guardian mechanism and transaction fees to be paid in USDCx. It connects to multiple chains through bridges including Circle xReserve, AggLayer, NEAR Intents, and Epoch, and has a built-in protocol-level DEX accessible through the Bread wallet.
Threadbare said the Partner Mainnet initially has security restrictions: validators collect users’ private transaction inputs to verify zero-knowledge proofs, while transaction details are stored using threshold encryption so specific transactions can be decrypted in exceptional cases, such as a hack.
Miden plans to transition to a public mainnet in a few months. The transition is expected to include switching from Poseidon2 to a Blake3-based hash function, revising the fee model, and strengthening block-level proofs. The project plans to gradually decentralize the network and remove the security restrictions afterward.
