Circle Internet Group plans to expand into nearly 40 emerging and developing markets worldwide, CEO and Chairman Jeremy Allaire said on Friday. According to NS3.AI, Allaire pointed to growing digital currency adoption across Southeast Asia, Latin America, Africa and the Middle East. USDC, Circle’s U.S. dollar-backed stablecoin, circulation rose 19% year over year to $73.3 billion in the second quarter of 2026. Allaire also cited growing use of USDC by artificial intelligence agents making small payments for online services, while warning that rapid AI adoption brings heightened cybersecurity risks.
