Ethereum ETFs Just Hit a 9-Day Outflow Streak — Institutions Are Pulling Back 👀

Wall Street’s appetite for Ethereum is cooling. US spot ETH ETFs recorded nine consecutive trading days of net outflows through October 9, with roughly $697 million withdrawn since September 29. The funds lost about $542 million in the latest week alone, marking their worst weekly performance since January.

BlackRock’s ETHA accounted for approximately $477 million of last week’s withdrawals, making it the biggest contributor to the selling pressure. Total net assets across spot ETH ETFs fell to around $15.7 billion. That’s a sharp reversal from the inflows these products attracted earlier in the year.

But ETF outflows don’t automatically mean Ethereum’s long-term story is broken. They show that investors are reducing exposure through these funds, while the reason behind every redemption isn’t necessarily clear. Is this a temporary shakeout — or a warning that institutional demand for ETH is weakening? 🔥#EtherETFsExtendOutflowsToNineDays
