Ledger has officially confirmed a hardware implant in one of the affected users’ devices and stated that it is already cooperating with law enforcement.

CryptoBilis has suspended sales, while customers who purchased their Ledger devices are being advised not to power on unconfigured devices and to urgently replace devices already in use, along with their seed phrases.

On top of that, the first Ledger Stax with a suspected spy implant has reportedly been discovered — a case already confirmed by Mark Karpelès.

What makes this especially concerning is that the Stax is Ledger’s premium model, typically purchased by users specifically for its enhanced security.

Hardware wallets are supposed to be your last line of defense. If the device itself can be compromised, that’s a whole different level of risk. ⚠️
