đ§ Tom Lee Says Ethereum Could Hit $50,000. I Have a Few Questions. $50K for $ETH ? That's quite a prediction, even by crypto standards. đ Tom Lee believes Ethereum could eventually reach that level. And while I understand the bullish argument, I think the number itself deserves a little skepticism. ( Coindoo ) Ethereum has a lot going for it: stablecoins, tokenized assets, DeFi and growing institutional interest. But there's a big difference between Ethereum becoming more useful and ETH becoming 10x more valuable. Here's what I'd want to see: â More real economic activity settling on Ethereum. â Stronger demand for ETH itself, including fees, staking and collateral use. â Clear evidence that ecosystem growth is translating into value for token holders. We've seen with $BTC how much institutional access can change a market. But Ethereum's valuation is more complicated because its ecosystem spans L1, L2s and many different applications. đ $50K isn't impossible as a long-term scenario, but it's not an investment thesis on its own. I'd rather see the assumptions behind the target than get excited about the number. And before comparing ETH's potential with $BTC , I'd want to know how much of that projected growth actually benefits the underlying asset. Would you take $50K ETH seriously, or is Tom Lee getting a little too optimistic? đ Big predictions are fun. Risk management is better.
