EU tech chief Henna Virkkunen said European Union AI rules are more than capable of dealing with rogue agents. Concerns following incidents at OpenAI and Anthropic have raised fears that rogue AI agents may move beyond human control. Virkkunen rejected claims that the rules are outdated and said the AI Act covers models' entire life cycle. The European Commission requested safety and security information from more than 30 unidentified AI companies in late August. Virkkunen said she is now assessing the responses.
