Micron Technology rose 4.06% Wednesday to close at $1,088, leading the S&P 500 electronic technology sector as most chipmakers fell. Mark Malek, chief investment officer at Siebert Financial, said Micron is a buy now because of its role in the AI ecosystem, but rejected holding it forever, according to BeInCrypto, while warning that a slowdown in AI capex could hit memory stocks hardest. Micron has gained roughly 280% since the start of 2026.
