Strive Just Bought 6x More Bitcoin Than Strategy
Strive just made a surprisingly large Bitcoin move.
Between Sept. 28 and Oct. 2, the company bought 2,000 BTC for roughly $169 million, averaging about $84,422 per coin. Its total holdings now stand at 29,462 BTC. About 61.5% of the capital raised for the purchase came through its SATA preferred stock.
Strategy’s latest purchase looks very different.
It added 334 BTC for $28.7 million, at an average of about $85,839, bringing its total to 848,000 BTC. That is roughly 4% of Bitcoin’s 21 million maximum supply.
But the more interesting number may be elsewhere: Strategy spent about $176.3 million buying back preferred stock during the period — more than six times what it spent on Bitcoin.
That doesn't mean Strategy is becoming less bullish on Bitcoin. It shows something broader: corporate Bitcoin strategies are becoming more complex.
Smaller treasury firms like Strive are pushing aggressive accumulation, while Strategy is simultaneously managing its capital structure and enormous existing BTC position.
The question is no longer simply who is buying Bitcoin?
It may be how each company chooses to finance and manage its conviction.
Is Bitcoin treasury adoption spreading — or is the playbook simply evolving?
