On Ethereum and other EVM networks, an allowance can remain active after you disconnect your wallet.
Before your next DeFi session:
âą Verify the site and spender address.
âą Prefer a spending cap over unlimited approval when practical.
âą Review old allowances with a trusted explorer or approval tool; revoke what you no longer need.
Approvals make swaps and lending convenient, but a malicious or compromised approved spender may put approved tokens at risk. Revoking usually costs gas and cannot recover stolen funds. Never enter your seed phrase into an approval checker.
Small wallet hygiene, meaningful risk reduction.
