According to CNBC, President Donald Trump said Monday evening that he and his political action committee will pay for controversial television ads that praised him and had been funded by the U.S. government. The announcement came after backlash to the ads, which aired in the weeks before November's midterm elections, when voters will decide whether Trump's fellow Republicans keep their majorities in both chambers of Congress. Trump said on Truth Social that he considers the ads a positive promotion for the U.S. and will cover the cost himself with money he raised for MAGA, Inc.
