The New York Fed has begun visiting JPMorgan Chase, Wells Fargo, Barclays, and Morgan Stanley to review their lending to private credit firms and related risk exposure. According to ChainCatcher, the review was partly prompted by JPMorgan Chase's March write-down of a large number of loans in its private credit portfolio, especially loans to software companies facing artificial intelligence-related threats.
