🚨 ARBITRUM JUST HIT A SECURITY PAUSE
Arbitrum’s Security Council has temporarily paused new Stylus contract activations on Arbitrum One and Nova after increasingly sophisticated AI-assisted attacks exposed risks in hand-crafted WASM programs.
The important part: no user funds were reported at risk, existing Stylus contracts continue running, and normal Solidity/EVM contracts are unaffected.
Arbitrum also added a One-Step Proof guard for a separate BoLD issue, allowing settlement to Ethereum to be paused if conflicting proofs are detected.
