According to Jin10, SK Group Chairman Choi Tae-won plans to sell his SK shares to raise funds for the 944 billion won property division payment to his former wife, Roh So-young. SK said on October 2 that Choi plans to sell 1,653,924 shares, or 2.3% of the company’s total share capital, through an after-hours block trade to minimize market impact. Actual share trading is expected to begin on November 2, one month later. If the sale is completed as planned, Choi’s stake based on voting shares will fall from 23.9% to 20.8%, while his holding including related parties will decline from 33.5% to 30.5%. He will remain the largest shareholder after the transaction.
