According to CNBC, Nike's Caitlin 1s, the first signature sneaker for Indiana Fever guard Caitlin Clark, were nearly sold out less than two hours after their U.S. release. Nike launched the shoe at 10 a.m. ET on Nike.com, and about an hour later only extra-large sizes above size 15 remained; the sneaker was also nearly sold out at Foot Locker, Champs Sports and Hibbett, while resale listings on eBay were already at $200 and up. The shoe retails for $140, comes in adult sizes and two colors, and kids' sizes are listed as coming soon. Clark said in a press release that a lot of thought and time went into the shoe and that having her own signature sneaker is special. Nike first signed Clark in 2022, and she signed a reported eight-year, $28 million deal in April 2024. The release comes before Nike reports first-quarter earnings after Thursday's closing bell, with the stock down more than 50% over the last 12 months.
