According to Jin10, euro credit default protection costs fell as Micron Technology's strong earnings lifted market optimism, weak U.S. economic data and comments from Federal Reserve officials reduced the odds of another rate hike next month, and IG analysts said in a report that "strong earnings performance and enthusiasm for artificial intelligence" outweighed concerns about high borrowing costs. The iTraxx Europe Crossover index, which measures euro high-yield credit default swaps, fell 5 basis points to 296 basis points, while S&P Global Market Intelligence data showed the index remained near Tuesday's almost six-month high of 301 basis points.
