Ether.fi will remove its last structural link with EigenLayer this quarter, leaving less than 1% of its assets in restaking. According to Odaily, CEO Mike Silagadze said the company is exiting because restaking risks remain and there is no material benefit.
Restaking currently secures $10 billion in assets but generated only $99,977 in fees in one week. On a per-dollar-of-secured-assets basis, ordinary liquid staking yields are about 53 times higher. The five largest remaining liquid restaking tokens posted combined gross profit of $953,400 last quarter, down from $2.18 million three quarters earlier.
