New UK government guidance says workers should first ask whether a spreadsheet or search engine can do the job. If AI is necessary, use the smallest capable model â for example, Gemini Flash instead of Pro or GPT Instant instead of Thinking.
It also says: keep prompts short, use as few as possible, personally verify AI outputs, and disclose when AI helped create or edit content.
