According to Kabutan, the Hong Kong Economic Times and RTHK, U.S. equities rebounded, with the Dow Jones Industrial Average up 478 points and the Nasdaq Composite closing nearly 0.5% higher, leaving all three main indexes up for the week. Oil fell more than 2% on reports that the United States and Iran are discussing a phased end to their conflict, while the yen firmed more than 1% against the dollar after Washington and Tokyo voiced concern over yen weakness.

Osaka Exchange Nikkei 225 index futures for December 2026 delivery ended the overnight session at 66,470 as of 6:00 a.m. on Sept. 26, up 170 points from the previous settlement on volume of 8,028 contracts, about 105.8 points above the cash Nikkei 225 close of 66,364.2. Nikkei 225 mini futures settled at 66,475, up 185 points, while the near-month TOPIX futures rose 7.5 points to 4,119.5.

South Korea's Korea Exchange was closed on Sept. 25 for the Chuseok holiday, so there was no KOSPI futures night session.

Hang Seng Index futures closed the night session at 24,501, down 21 points, while the NASDAQ Golden Dragon China Index fell 0.6% to 5,687. Hong Kong American depositary receipts were mixed: in Hong Kong-dollar terms, the HSBC ADR rose about 0.48% versus the prior Hong Kong close, Alibaba's U.S. shares fell 0.74%, the Meituan ADR eased 0.49% and the Tencent ADR slipped 0.03%. Mainland China A-shares were closed Friday for the Mid-Autumn Festival, with Stock Connect trading also suspended.

Taiwan's futures market was shut on Sept. 25 for the Mid-Autumn Festival holiday, so there was no TAIEX futures night session.
